Datanom is proud to present the release of a brand new booklet
entitled THE AESTHETICS OF NOISE and written by Torben Sangild.

The author takes a philosophical approach to the concept of noise in music and noise as music. With examples from both the noise rock of the 1980s and the harsh noise of the 1990s, the author draws a line to the experimental electronic music of the 2000s.

Torben Sangild is a PhD-student at University of Copenhagen. He has written various articles in the field of art, music, literature and philosophy. The booklet is based on his MA-thesis, Støjrock og Støjens æstetik.

The booklet was released the 24th of May at LAB in Copenhagen. The presentation was accompanied by a bar and some sweet noises served by the author and the editor.
